Philosophy is a Luxury

Something that philosophers of the past haven’t figured out (for some reason or another):

To study philosophy or to philosophize about non-utilitarian things is the ultimate luxury.

Practical is overrated.

To have to do x, y, z for purely and only utilitarian needs … a basic existence. To pursue things like arts, poetry, photography is not necessary unto existence and life (from a biological life and death sense). Photography and art is a privilege and the ultimate luxury.

Why philosophy?

Once you got the basics out of the way (warmth, food, water, hygiene, peace and quiet), then it seems you have the optimal conditions of existence to pursue philosophy!

How to philosophize

To philosophize means:

Question everything about existence, strive to discover interesting truths/knowledges/ideas which you find personally interesting, and share these personal truths and ideas with others!
