Striving for perfect is bad.

There ain’t no final destination

The biggest problem about seeking perfection:

We strive to create perfect things, and once we create a perfect thing, we fall into existential despair.

The goal is continual creativity — to create until you die at age 120.

Perfection is always in the eyes of someone else.

When we seek ‘perfection’, we are generally seeking approval from others.

But once you’ve achieved perfection, or once you’ve created perfect– then what?

Create your own ideals for yourself

I believe it is good to have ideals that you’re shooting for. But this ideal should be YOUR idealized version of yourself. To NOT compare yourself with others. To discover inspiration from other great individuals you admire, but not to desire to BECOME THEM. Rather, to find inspiration from other individuals to BECOME YOURSELF.
