What is True Democracy?
According to Wiktionary ‘democracy‘ means “demo [people] + [cracy] “rule”. Which essentially means “rule from the people”. Or in other words:
All voices are equal voices, all votes are equal votes.
Also:
The people should rule the government; not the government ruling the people.
Do not cast people in the mid-west or the south or the non-coastal areas as ‘uninformed’ or ‘unintelligent’
All news is biased. All news is bad. As long as news gains revenue through advertising, it cannot be trusted.
And yes, the left-media is just as bad as the right-media. Who is to say CNN is any better than Fox News? Truth be told out of all the media outlets, it seems the least-bad is ZeroHedge.com, which also cannot be trusted because it borders on strange conspiracy theories and too much support on Putin.
I only trust myself
Even then … I am highly distrustful of myself. My thinking is very biased, and perhaps my goal is this:
As I get older and wiser, try to REMOVE more junk from my mind (via negativa style, a-la Nassim Taleb).
To REMOVE ignorance, hate and fear is my goal.
