BLOOD FLOW

What gets your blood flowing?

Perhaps we shouldn’t think of it as “exercise”— rather, physical movements and activities which get your blood flowing?

Hormones means “a rush”.

What causes headaches? Obstructed blood flow to the brain?

What causes physiological depression? Stagnant blood flow in the body?

Metaphysics Thoughts

Some thoughts spurred by my friend Stan:

What is metaphysics anyways? And why does it matter?

My definition of metaphysics; that which is above the physical. Beyond the physical.

In a practical sense, digital is metaphysical. Why? Your digital photos are in the world of ones and zeros, not atoms.

Why build your body?

Your own body as a work of art!

In Praise of Building Your Body

My Muscle Philosophy:

Treat your body as sculpture.

This is not my body

The first thing:

I don’t see my body as belonging to me. I look at my body like it belongs to someone else.

When I look at the Lamborghini of someone else, I admire it. When I see the muscles and physiques of anyone else, I admire it. Then I had the epiphany:

Why not transform my own body into a Lambo, and admire my own body instead?

The logic

The great logic:

  1. It is far cheaper to get buff than to buy a Lambo.
  2. The human body is the apex beauty. This means your personal goal in life should be to beautify your own personal body to the maximum (without plastic surgery, steroids, etc).
  3. Ultimate democratic approach: Genetics doesn’t matter. Sex doesn’t matter. Racial ethnicity doesn’t matter. Anyone can both add muscle mass and subtract fat.
  4. It doesn’t cost much to get ripped. Just intermittent fast [no breakfast, no lunch], one big ass meal a day, and mostly a ‘ketogenic’ diet.
  5. Your body is always with you. Why not beautify your body to inspire yourself?

The joy of sculpting your own body

To sculpt your own body is insanely fun. Why? You can see the change over time!

Once again, the goal is simple:

Never stop adding muscle mass, and never stop reducing body fat, or keeping it low (around 10%).

Muscle and your body is highly practical.

The more muscle you have, the more energy you got. The more power you got to make art-work, and live with gratitude, joy, and hyper-vigor.

Strengthen on, and flex on!

Equality?

In America, we pretend that everyone is equal, and that there are no such thing as superior or inferior people. Yet everyone seeks superiority.

And actually, if you consider the Pledge of Allegiance, it says “…and liberty and justice for all”, not equality. It doesn’t talk about equality.

Therefore the question is; should society seek equality?

Human resources are the ultimate resources

Oh the reason why I love living in a hotel so much, all of the human resources. The lovely house cleaning staff who cleans our hotel room every single day.

Also, my extreme gratitude for Grab and Uber drivers. If I had the option of being able to ride in an Uber for the rest of my life, or own a Rolls-Royce, Lamborghini, I would choose the prior. Only suckers drive themselves. The truly lead have private drivers.

Once again, the initial purpose of the Rolls-Royce was that you had a private driver, and the suicide doors made it easier for the back sitting individual to get out of the car. It makes no sense to own a Rolls-Royce, and drive it yourself.

Also getting massages as the ultimate human labor which is insanely worth it!

The better the body, the better the thoughts.

It seems that ultimate pursuit that a lot of individuals pursue is philosophy. And philosophy is rooted in thought. However, you cannot have thoughts without a body.

Therefore, the ultimate goal is both elevating your thoughts, and elevating your body. Your body and mind is the yin and yang, one is not superior to the other, both are one in the same.

Similar to man and woman, man is not superior to woman, man and women are one and the same. Also, both men and women are both necessary for the human race.

Remember, all men were once born from a woman. Also, remember the spartan saying, the reason why Spartan women were so strong was that they gave birth to Spartan men.

AESTHETICS ARE ALL SUBJECTIVE.

Don’t trust anyone who thinks that aesthetics are objective. Also, an interesting thought, I think traditionally, the bigger and more plump the woman was, the more desirable they were seen, as they were seen as healthier, and more fit for childbirth.

Therefore, this new modern trend of women being hyper hyper skinny, almost anemic or skeletor looking, is a modern one.

In Praise of Having Kids

There are many reasons to not have kids, but I think the major reason why people decide not to have kids is out of fear, or, that it will hinder their happiness.

However, now that Seneca is one year seven months old, I can easily say that he has elevated my happiness by at least 1000X. He has made me more creative, innovative, and curious and playful about the world.

Also, Seneca has made me far more photographically productive. Both in shooting photos of him, and the world around us, Seneca loves to go on walks and hates being indoors. Once again, I am more productive and prolific as a photographer after Seneca.

If your passion is photography, and you’re on the fence about having kids, have kids.

When to be conservative, when to be risky?

My thought: attempt risky things, the most risky things, granted you have the necessary safety measures.

Rather than the foolish notion of burning your bridges behind you, better to always have safety pins, a back up, redundancy, or a limited downside.

In fact, I think to expect failure is actually a wise idea.

For example, with speculative investments, let’s say cryptocurrency, limit your cryptocurrency investments to 20% of your savings. Therefore, assuming you lose it all, you only lost 20% of your net worth. This is quite tolerable.

Or with doing squats, assume that you may fail. Therefore, having the necessary safety pins behind you as a good idea.

Or, with any other extreme sports or activities, have all of the safety equipment. For example, it should be required that all pro skaters must wear helmets.

LIFE IS ALL UPSIDE!

After achieving of the traditional markers and success, becoming financially independent, etc., my lesson:

Life is all upside.

Even pain — pain is not what makes life a downside. In fact, it is what makes life enjoyable.

If you never felt pain in life, you will not appreciate the good things.

Also from a physiological perspective, pain is actually an necessary ingredient for growth. Also, childbirth would be impossible without pain, as pain is the signal to the wounds body to push out the baby.

Indoor *AND* Outdoor Spaces

Currently the nouveau hippie thought is that outdoor spaces are always superior to indoor spaces — not quite. I am very grateful for indoor gyms, and indoor shopping malls especially when there is a torrential rain storm outside.

I think the best idea than is to harness both to the maximum.

How to build your pain tolerance

Don’t use painkillers. Treat your pain as wise, and heed to it. And think to yourself what your pain is trying to tell you.

I’m proud to say that I probably haven’t use any painkillers for almost 7+ years.

The wisdom of my pain is what taught me to quit alcohol. I haven’t drank an alcoholic beverage since my wedding.

Also, how much coffee should you drink? Once you start feeling pain from the coffee, it is a wise sign to tone it down.

The foolish thing that a lot of people do is that when they feel pain, they use the opportunity to just pop more painkillers, and keep going harder. This is foolish.
