Better Bad Photos than No Photos

What holds us back in photography? Our obsession with trying to make “good” photos.

Instead, my suggestion:

It is better for you to shoot a lot of “bad” photos than to shoot no photos!

Photography as fun and experimentation

The point of photography ain’t to flex on social media. The point is to make photos which express your joy with being alive and of reality.

I believe we should approach photography how a child approaches playing at the playground:

Doing it for fun, and not looking over its shoulder whether others are watching.

Do it for yourself; not the gram

Instagram is bad for photography and humanity. If you want real feedback on your photos, upload it to arsbeta.com. If you want to display and share your photos, publish it to your own website.

And never stop shooting for yourself.
