How do we put our minds into motion?

The goal isn’t to ‘force’ yourself to think

I think that the best way to think is ‘via negativa’ which means:

REMOVE distractions and external stimuli from you (like waking up in the morning checking email or social media) in order to think.

Also — to read less will allow you to think more. Why? If you read too much, too much of your thinking becomes *reactive* which means, rather than draw upon your own life experiences and thoughts, you are simply defending yourself from some foreign thought.

Extreme rest and recovery

I say your body needs superfluous energy to really think effectively. That means:

Prioritize your sleep (8-12 hours a night) and be certain to cut off your caffeine before noon during the day.

This will give your body enough time to recover the next day, and during the day harness your superfluous physiological energy to walk, workout, think, talk to strangers, chat with family members, etc.

Mental motivation is just physical motivation

To move your thoughts can only happen if you have superfluous physiological energy. This means:

Don’t waste your sexual energy, your physical energy on things which you think *DEPLETE* you … rather, focus on doing things which *FILL YOU UP*.
