We’ve all been dealt a different hand in life
A poker analogy to life:
We all have been dealt a different hand in life. The point ain’t about bemoaning your hand. No — it is about best exploiting the hand you’ve been dealt.
For example let us say you were dealt a 7-2 off-suit. You can bluff the shit out of everyone. Or you can be given ‘pocket rockets’ (two aces) and still fuck it up. Thus the logical consequence is this:
Best maximize all your advantages in life.
For example:
These are my advantages that reality has given me:
- A phenomenally amazing mom. She is a saint. I was lucky I was given such an incredible mother; not everyone is blessed with this.
- I am actually very grateful for all my scars in life. Without my scars, I would have become a soft and entitled kid. A hard knock life is a blessing in disguise.
