Rather than advertising the wares of others, better to advertise your own stuff!

Advertise your own services, your own products; advertise yourself. Advertise you.

Why advertise your own stuff?

There are a lot of entrepreneurs who advertise the stuff of others. For example on YouTube or Google Adsense or Podcasts, a lot of these creators make money by advertising the services and wares of others. But isn’t it much more effective to advertise your own stuff?

Much more profitable

If you advertise your own stuff, it is far more profitable, fun, and interesting. For example, I advertise HAPTIC, because I believe in the things I make. Skin in the game– attaching my name and brand to a lot of the things I create is a sure sign that I actually believe in what I make.

What does it mean to advertise?

HAPTIC INDUSTRIES

Adverto in Latin means ‘to turn towards’, or to ‘steer or pilot towards’, or ‘give or draw attention towards’. This means:

If you’ve made something you want others to experience, consume, hear, read, or feel … you must advertise it!

If you don’t advertise it, they won’t come.

Jesus once said:

If you have a light, don’t hide it under a bushel. Instead, share your light, and shine onto other men!

Same thing. When you advertise yourself, you’re broadcasting what you consider important. You’re broadcasting your art, ideas, products, goods, etc. This is important. The saying: “Build it and they will come” is false.

CONCLUSION: Just share it!
