Street photography is great because it gives us the opportunity to open our hearts to others. To become more kind, loving and compassionate to strangers. To become more open minded, and more open-souled to others.

Furthermore, street photography affords us a new way to see, experience and engage with the world. A world with more opportunities, more beauty, and more elegance. Street photography makes the world richer, and better.

All street photography is subjective, and there is a trillion ways to approach it. Don’t put yourself into a hole where you can only do it one way or another. Street photography is best when you approach it with an open mind and an open soul. You can decide to shoot with permission, without permission, or ask them to put on a little show for you while you’re photographing them!

How to make good street photos

If you die making a few good photos, consider your job well done. If you can make 1 great photo before you die, your life has been justified.

To make good photos:

Strive for perfection while you’re shooting and composing
Be insanely picky when choosing your favorite photos
Strive to capture raw human emotions, and keep your compositions relatively simple.
