As a street photographer, you’re constantly improvising… like a good jazz musician.
You’re not quite sure what you’re looking for… until you see it.
Don’t be rigid. Don’t be too focused. Embrace “open awareness”, and let your pictures come to you.
No headphones. No phone. Only you, the streets, your camera, and your senses.
See. Hear. Look. Talk, walk, wonder.
Go down uncharted paths. Go down random alleys. Don’t take the same route twice… switch it up.
Serendipity in street photography is the sweetest joy. No GPS. No final destination. Just wandering the streets, like a good flaneur… and like a street dog— follow your nose.
