An idea: when someone else is driving, you can be in the passenger seat and shoot street photography, looking out! This is what Garry Winogrand and Lee Friedlander (America by car) did — perfect for us street photographers stuck in the suburbs.

1. Shooting during sunset

With nice long shadow lines.

2. Shoot urban landscapes

3. People walking across the street in front of your car

4. Photograph clouds

5. Shoot layers

When you’re at a busy intersection, try to separate all the subjects.

6. Photograph cute or funny things

Like dogs in a truck. Note the negative space on bottom of the frame.

7. Epic colors

The simple color combination, color theory of red vs blue.

8. Photograph your loved ones (also inside the car)

Use a wide angle lens, like a 24mm or a 28mm lens.
