How to Shoot Head-On in Street Photography
For more dynamic street photography, shoot head-on!

Sergio Larrain is amazing. Shoot directly straight and head-on, while they’re going downwards:

4. Walk directly in front of people, get close, crouch down, then shoot
This is what I did for my “jazz hands” photo, as this woman was crossing the street. Shot with a flash at 24mm:
5. Talk with your subject, crouch down, and shoot
Shot with a flash with permission, on 35mm lens:
6. Get close, look for a stream of light, and get one eye in the light
I shot around 30+ photos on RICOH GR II, on 28mm lens. He didn’t mind — I didn’t even ask for permission.

8. Pretend like you’re shooting something behind your subject
I pretended like I was shooting the soda machine behind the woman. Shot on film Leica, 35mm lens:
