Why Doesn’t Anything Ever Satisfy Me?

A personal thing:

No matter how good something is, it is never good enough for me.

For example with tools (besides iPad Pro), the hidden feeling —

There is probably something better out there.

With cars — none of the cars are actually interesting enough for me to buy (even though I can afford it). Even when I was at a point where I could trade all of my crypto for a Lamborghini I didn’t. Why? I suppose my “revealed preferences” showed me that I didn’t care THAT much for Lamborghini cars, or any cars in general. Note I’ve never bought a car in my life for more than $2,500 USD. My last car I bought in 2020 (Subaru Outback 5 speed, 2003, for only $800 USD).

Even with shoes — I can never find a perfect shoe that I actually really like.

Not satisfied with innovation

Even with Tesla cars — I’m impressed, but not THAT impressed. Even test driving a Model 3 as hugely disappointing to me. Only fun car I’ve been in is my friend Don’s 911 Porsche GT3.

What’s actually fun and interesting to me?

Gym. Powerlifting. Deadlifts. One rep max. 105 pound kettlebell.

Perhaps this is good?

Ironically enough this has made me more frugal — I almost never buy anything, because I don’t think anything is “worth it”.

Then also perhaps, harness thus extreme dissatisfaction into entrepreneurial ventures. To build brand new platforms, new technologies, ideas and approaches.
