The Will to Expansion

Some Nietzsche (will to power) vibes:

Perhaps we as entrepreneurs and innovators and creators have a lust to expand.

Expanding how so?

For example, having children is expanding yourself– you are essentially cloning yourself. Assuming your children are an extended and expanded ego of yourself, then with your children, you can do more ‘work‘ (ergon).

Why expand?

Perhaps we desire to expand because it is a way we can augment our power and reach.

What is the end?

In theory if you think about nature– her desire is to extend her grasp and power to the upper limits. She doesn’t want to stop.

Consider a forest or trees– what do they desire? Infinite dominance.

Perhaps companies, individuals, organizations … their desire is also to infinitely extend their grasp and power; and this is the principle of life itself.
