Dissatisfaction is Good

For so much time in my life, I have searched for the perfect and the optimal and the best x, y, z. The perfect clothes, tools, car, lifestyle, city, etc. But in fact … perhaps being perpetually dissatisfied, inexorable and impossible to placate is a good thing …

‘Never satisfied, but peaceful’ (David Goggins)

I came across this quote from David Goggin’s book (Can’t hurt me) which I found randomly on a shelf at an AirBnb I recently stayed at. I quite like it — the gist:

Always strive for more and never be satisfied, but be grateful and at peace with the accomplishments you’ve already made, and find deep gratitude and joy in the ‘journey’ of the growth in your life.

Thus a simple thought and takeaway:

See your dissatisfaction in life as a positive virtue and stimulus to have you to hustle ever more to become more, create more, and innovate more!
