Paralysis by Analysis in Photography

Paralysis by analysis in photography means:

You see something you want to instinctively shoot, but for some reason or another … you hesitate, and fail to make (any) photograph.

Now why is this bad?

You never know what a photograph will look like until *AFTER* you’ve shot it.

How to motivate yourself to photograph again

The great joy and fun of photography is this:

You never know what a photograph will look like or manifest as a photograph until *AFTER* you’ve clicked the shutter.

Even the most experienced photographer with the most foresight and skill will never know 100% how the light will render in the photograph, how the composition will look from corner-to-corner, and whether he/she has caught the ‘decisive moment’.

Then this means:

Shoot photos out of your own personal curiosity — shoot before thinking, and figure out the meaning later!
