Tight vs Loose

A thought on my mind: when is tight better, and when is loose better?

This is the funny shift: when I was a kid growing up, it was more cool to wear baggy loose fitting shirts and pants, but now the trend is towards tight. Tight fitting shirts and tight fitting legging pants.

Not to be too coarse, but when it comes to sexual matters, it seems that tight is perceived as better than loose.

With intellectual matters, tight arguments are seen as superior to loose arguments.

With shoes, this is tricky, as you do not want to choose that are too loose, nor too tight. However ultimately, it is probably better to have shoes which are a little bit more on the loose side, than on the too tight side. A little bit of buffer space on your toes is typically seen as good.

We need both loose and tight?

How do we digest food in our intestines? A process of the undulation between tightening and loosening, or contracting and releasing.

Certainly that in life, we need both the tight and the loose. But maybe we are trying to figure out when to use either, and maybe the best is the juxtaposition between both.

For example with clothes and style, maybe having both tight fitting and loose fitting clothing on your outfit is the most stylish. For example, you have very tight fitting pants, but a very loose fitting oversize jacket.

Maybe also with writing, when you are setting the scene it is good to be very loose, but with your arguments it is good to have tight arguments.

Maybe also with shoes, it is good for your shoes to be tight around the ankle, but loose around the toes and the foot bed.
