My new pursuit.
Month: May 2020
Privilege Yourself
The most important person to privilege — yourself.
Interview with Savannah Condon: Practice Radical Gratitude
Savannah Condon: one of my great promising students who attended a recent creativity online photography workshop I taught. Learn more about her and what she does:
In Praise of Michael Jordan
Of course Michael Jordan is the greatest of all time. My thoughts after watching his documentary (Last Dance):
Become a Photography Entrepreneur
UBERMAN
UBERMAN
You don’t need the xan
ax
That is facts
Create Beyond Yourself
The goal:
To create BEYOND yourself.
Beyond your life, your life time. To strive to make a monument more enduring than bronze (Horace).
In Praise of Blogging
When in doubt, blog.
FLESH
Don’t entertain any ideas beyond the flesh.
Race ain’t Real; Morphology is.
Race is a topic I am fascinated about, because it makes no sense. Aren’t we all ‘the human race’?
Upon philosophizing on this, this is my takeaway thus far:
Race ain’t real, but morphology is.
In Praise of Street Vlogging
Vlog in the streets.
The Entrepreneurial Lifestyle is the Best Lifestyle
The best life: working for yourself.
My Park Workout
Simpler is better:
Algorithm Slavery
Who is programming the algorithm? Are you programming the algorithm, or is the algorithm programming you?
ANTI VIEWS
What is the worst ill to have befallen new digital creators? The obsession for views.
Entrepreneurship is The Goal
The Great Individual
Strive to become a great individual.
The great individual: severe, harsh, selfish. Focused on his or her own self development.
Eternal Photography
Photograph today as if you were to photograph for eternity!
Brain Gains
Not only muscular gains, but also brain gains.
Eternal Development
What’s the point of life? Eternal development. For you to never stop changing, evolving, augmenting yourself and aggrandizing yourself.
The Art of Blogging
One of the arts I have gained mastery over is blogging. How and why? Let me explain:
Vermeer Composition Studies
Vermeer as a great painter to study. Why? He used a camera obscura to paint his composition and perspective lines. So in a sense, he was hybrid photographer AND painter.
Paint Your Emotions
Your goal as an artist: to paint your emotions into your art work. To impute your energy, soul, and life into that which you create.
NEVER STOP STRIVING FOR MORE!
The principle of life.
HOW I WORKOUT FROM THE PARK
Gyms might be closed, but parks are a good alternative!
How to Become More Charismatic

How to Fast
How to Achieve a State of Flow
To me the apex human condition is a state of flow; when you feel god-like, or a demi-god of artistic creativity and flowing.
SWOLE #poem
SWOLE
SWOLE; don’t do what you’ve been told
You pave your own path
Wake the fuck up; no cat naps
SWOLE, the whole world
Is your pearl, your own easter
Your own awakening, your own Jesus
Aggrandize yourself
Augment your inner wealth
And turn a positive out of everything you’ve been dealt
What awaits you? Grandeur. Take the world by the horns; your own bull run tour.

How to Teach Your Own Online Photography Workshop
Practical ideas and lessons:
How to Stress Test Your Photos
Keep trying to destroy your photos with filters. Keep it going and see if your photos can survive.
Minimum Viable Image
Silicon Valley thinking to photography:
Don’t strive towards perfection in photography. Instead, strive towards making the most simple “viable†image which is acceptable!
I JUST WANNA BE ME!
Why strive to become anyone else but yourself?
Just Put Your Soul into It.
It ain’t about making ‘good’ artwork. It is about just putting your soul into everything you create, attempt and do.
HOW TO STAY SWOLE DURING COVID 19
High reps. Combination of bodyweight and weights (like dumbbells if you got access to it):
IN PRAISE OF RANDOM WALKS
You don’t need a ‘reason’ to walk. Just follow your gut!
MOVEMENT AS SYMBOLISM FOR THE EYE
Why we delight in motion and movement:
IN PRAISE OF MOVEMENT
No movement, no life.
TRANSFORM EVERY DOWNSIDE INTO AN UPSIDE
A more constructive and generative way to see life:
You have the power to transform any ill or downside into an upside or positive.
For example:
- Gyms are closed. Focus on doing bodyweight exercises and calisthenics to strengthen certain parts of your body.
- Death in the family: Use this opportunity to live your own personal life without regrets. Or meditation on the shortness of life. My reflections after the death of my grandfather.
- Pain: Gratitude towards the pain as a signal what you must address or fix in your life.

“Make it as simple as possible, but not any simpler.” – Einstein
Your insider view:
Beauty is the Goal
The goal of all of our life and artistic aspirations:
To make beauty, and to become beauty.
- Make beautiful photos
- Make our bodies beautiful
HOW TO RE-SPARK YOUR PASSION FOR PHOTOGRAPHY
HOW I TYPE
Create Your Own Universal Basic Income (UBI) for Yourself.
Money ain’t real. This means money is based on a faith (fiat) system. Then perhaps a more fun goal in life is this:
Create a universal basic income for yourself, and see what you can do with it!
What is ‘basic’ income to you? You choose.

IN PRAISE OF PURSUING YOUR PASSION
Besides utilitarian aims and ends, why NOT pursue your passion?
TRAIN YOUR LEGS AND EVERYTHING WILL FOLLOW
Pursue thunder thighs. Ronnie Coleman wheels!
How to Make Great Titles
I love great titles. Why? They stick with me! Some thoughts on titles:
Behind the Scenes
Why do we like behind the scenes so much? Perhaps we like “truth-seeking”?
Lesson for us artists:
Share your works in progress and things behind the scenes!
Reality Bender
What do you do when you have supreme self confidence to become the best, but reality doesn’t manifest according to your will?
Self-Flattery
Photographers flatter others so much with their obsession with their subjects. Why not flatter yourself with that same amount of attention to yourself?
YOUR LIFE EXPERIENCES
Just write about, photograph or share your own life journey and experiences.
SPORTS THEORY
Why do we love sports? We get second-hand high from the adrenaline, victory and supremacy of the athletes playing.
PODCAST
Form and Substance
The secret to eternal photos: a beautiful form and deep substance.
Productivity Fasting
The idea:
If you want to become more ‘productive’, fast from productivity at certain times.
Intermittent productivity fasting.
PHOTO JOURNEY
Life and photography is a journey.
How I Got So Swole
Lessons I wish I knew:
How to Make Better Compositions in Photography
Practical tips and ideas:
Poetry in Motion
What is street photography? Perhaps poetry in motion. Also why people love to watch sports, Michael Jordan, and the Olympics — witnessing poetry in motion.
WHAT MAKES BEAUTIFUL PHOTOS?
In my eyes:
Sketch Your Compositions
How do you know which of your photos are good? Simple: sketch them.
Replayability
How I judge an art work? By the replayability of it.
How to Write
To write literally means “to carveâ€. Digitally, we write or carve on a digital screen.
Why write? How should we write? Some of my thoughts:
YEA SAYER
No matter how cruel or unjust life may seem, let us realize:
Life is beautiful and worth it, no matter what.
Life Photography
The best photos: optimism in life.
My Street Photography Composition Theory
My thoughts on composition theory:
COURAGE IS A MUSCLE
Use it or lose it.
Sole Proprietorship
What I believe in — sole proprietorship. Basically you’re a one man ship. You got extreme responsibility in yourself. It’s all on you.
SOLO ENTREPRENEURSHIP
Can you become an entrepreneur, solo?
This means:
- Assume you could never fund raise any money
- You will never have a partner or someone to work with you — assuming you have to do everything by yourself.
- Bootstrap: How to start a company with only $100? Building a website-blog as the best bang for the buck.
- Steer clear of Silicon Valley oasis: Not to make a trillion dollar company. Instead, to become the most epic solo entrepreneur, or the sole proprietor of your company — one man, you.
