Minimum Viable Image

Silicon Valley thinking to photography:

Don’t strive towards perfection in photography. Instead, strive towards making the most simple “viable” image which is acceptable!

What is an MVI?

Minimum viable image (MVI) means:

Disdain detail. Focus on the substance, subject, and visual-emotional impact of your photos.

To know if your photo is simple and strong enough, “stress test”them which means:

Keep applying all these filters trying to destroy your image. If your image still survives and holds up, it is good.

Is it simple enough?

Strive to make your photos as simple as possible. Something to experiment with is “edge detection”or:

Can you clearly see the edges of your photos?
