HOLD OR CIRCULATE?

One of the big issues with bitcoin, crypto, cryptocurrencies is that nobody wants to use it for real every day transactions. For example the notion of holding or HODL (hold onto dear life).

According to GALIANI — DELLA MONETA ,,, currency and money is only useful when the velocity and movement of money is good. What that means is I guess the upside of the US dollar, visa and credit cards etc. is that people use it every day all the time for every day transactions. Then our every day real world purchases we never hesitate spending our US dollars thinking that one day our $100 USD might become $100,000 USD.

For example, let us say that I have 10 bitcoin, and each bitcoin is worth $10,000 USD. I might keep holding onto it hoping that a single bitcoin will become $50,000 a bitcoin, $80,000 a bitcoin, $100,000 a bitcoin, $1 million a bitcoin, or even $100 million a bitcoin.

The $100M pizza

do you know that one guy who spent 20,000 bitcoin to buy a single Domino’s Pizza? Apparently that thing will be worth $100 million, or even half $1 billion today!
