You’re an artist and a creative visionary. Some ideas for you:
1. Don’t seek to please others
When listening to an interview with Marcello Gandini [designer of the first Lamborghini Countach] he said something like
“The Countach was the desire to separate ourselves from the past. In this we are approaching the work of art. That is, it isn’t constrained to please. It has to have a soul of its own. Something that the people thought ‘this is impossible’, it was the car that started the design DNA of Lamborghini”
You have a certain photo and design DNA of your own. And what is your DNA? Simple — it is embedded in your biology and soul. Then what is your goal as a photographer-artist?
To simply share your DNA with others.
Every design you create is an embodiment of yourself. And as a photographer, you’re also a designer. You designate what is important in your photos, so just share that with others!

2. You’re always in a state of becoming
Every moment, every second, every hour you’re in a state of becoming. That is, you’re constantly changing. Then the goal in photography isn’t to “improve“ your photography, but rather it is for you to just document and capture this whole process.
Our goal is then to make photography as natural as breathing. That is, to photograph every part of your day. Your morning breakfast, your morning coffee, your lunch, activities throughout your day, your loved ones and yourself.
3. Break yourself free of tradition and the past
Certainly there is benefit of studying the masters of photography, but we must at a certain point kill our masters. We must do a clean break from the past.
This means starting again ‘carte blanche’ in your photography. Ask yourself:
If you started photography again today without any baggage from the past, how would you re-approach photography today, brand new again?
