Some of my personal thoughts on the future of creativity:
1. Why is the field of photography so boring right now?
Personally speaking, anything in the field of photography is highly boring and uninteresting to me. All the cameras are the same. All the innovations are the same. Nothing is really changing. There are boring (slow piece meal) innovations occurring which are quite lame. It all seems quite predictable and boring.
The cameras look the same, function the same. They keep getting a little better, more megapixels, fewer megapixels, improved image quality and high ISO performance, etc. For the most part, I feel very bearish about the future of photography.
2. The future of visual arts
Here is where I see a lot of ripe new opportunities. BEYOND basic notions of photos. Photos AND visual arts. Photos as not sacred but profane. You can do whatever you want with a photo you want!
