The Best RICOH GR III Settings

My personal favorite RICOH GR III settings for everyday and street photography:

The skinny

Off the top of my head:

  1. Shoot in JPEG (only). For black and white, high contrast black and white mode with [max] contrast and [max] grain.
  2. Turn off image auto-review (instant review –>display time–>off)
  3. Shoot in P (program) mode.
  4. Shoot in auto-ISO mode.
  5. Turn on grid [4×4 grid]
  6. Face detection ON
  7. Turn off AF assist light (no autofocus assisting light, which “gives away” when you’re shooting street photography).
  8. Update firmware to version 1.3
