HORMESIS 101

That which threatens to destroy you only makes you stronger:

First of all, what is hormeis?

The basic gist:

A small dose of a toxin is a positive stimulant for strength and growth for human beings and biological life.

Why is this important?

If your life goal is to maximize your strength and power, then we must harness hormesis to the max.

This means:

  1. Intermittent fasting
  2. Cold exposure (cold showers) and heat exposure (don’t live indoors all day at a steady 72 degrees)
  3. Randomness in environment, external stimuli, etc.
  4. Randomness in food, toxins, and things we consume. Bitter greens are ‘healthy’ because they have mild doses of toxins which stimulate our bodily system.
  5. Good black coffee and black tea and green tea– the caffeine is a small dose of a toxin which stimulates us.
  6. Some mental trauma and bodily trauma and harm is good for us. It makes us stronger.

Why become stronger?

To me, life is about infinite gains. If you don’t got infinite gains; what is this all worth for?
