A real racist will never say it out loud, somebody who is not really a racist, a fake racist will say it out loud.
Also, somebody who is a fake racist will just joke about it. A real racist will never joke about it.
Also I have a heuristic:
If they sound like a racist, they are not.
Real racists are insanely subtle!
