Working Out at the Park vs the Gym

Why am I becoming more muscular and getting more ‘gains‘ in the park vs the gym? Some thoughts:

Upsides of the park

  • rock toss
  1. Fresh air (good for the brain and body)
  2. Free! The best price.
  3. You can be however loud or obnoxious you want to be
  4. More fun! You feel like a kid again. I have soooo much fun throwing around rocks and stuff.
  5. More social. You can chat with new strangers. More diversity; you meet folks from all walks of life.

Benefits of gym

  1. Certain exercises you can do (deadlift, squat, very heavy dumbbell press/bench).
  2. Powerlifting
