Photography as a Dance
To photograph is to dance:
Don’t just shoot 1 photo
Whenever you witness an interesting scene, or you’re photographing your subject, don’t just take 1 photo. “Work the scene” and shoot many photos!
Generally speaking, there will be single photo in a scene you prefer the best. But you must shoot the scene a lot in order to even get 1 photo you like:
Dance with your camera as you’re making photos
When you’re “working a scene”, keep dancing with your camera. Tilt the camera different directions, move your feet (closer to your subject, away from your subject, to the left, or to the right). Switch up between horizontal and vertical photos.
Have fun with it!
We dance for the sake of dancing. Dancing is a beautiful outlet for our energy and bodily power. Discharge your creative powers through the dance of photography as well:
Dance (and shoot on!)
