I SHOOT RAW
I shot raw and the jpeg.
I do it so freely, i shoot right off my head.
I shoot raw and the jpeg,
I don’t give a damn about my meg-a-pixels
Or all the bells and whistles
I shoot raw and jpeg,
I make my photos nice and meaty
And throw away the bread.
I shoot raw and the jpeg,
I shoot film, and stack up the negs
I shoot raw and jpeg,
I make my own style instead of mindlessly following the herd, and wanting more Instagram fellatio head.
I shoot jpeg and raw,
I let my photos sit and marinate
I don’t cook them before I’ve let them thaw.
I shoot jpeg and raw,
I make photos to cause my own jaw
To drop.
I don’t drop lots of money on cameras and gear
I shoot RICOH GR II and shoot selfies in the mirror.
I shoot raw and jpeg,
I don’t let the gear acquisition syndrome get to my head
Because I pop lots of Lactose Pills, and never fart out instead I
Write out visual songs and melodies
I diversify my visual diet; rice medley
I don’t shoot the same thing twice; I try to shoot another me.
I’m like a visual honey bee, flitting from one flower to the next,
I sip all the visual pollen, and make my own honey.
I don’t care so much about money, even though I got a lot
Rather, I like to fill my mind my thoughts and big ideas
Like how to empower all photographers and humanity
And to keep it open and free
And how to treat my brothers like another me.
I shoot and write raw because I care
I’ve looked a thousand years into the future and it’s very clear
We’ll always shoot photos to find meaning
To reflect on nice personal memories, and keep on beaming
So friend, stop the scheming
For more social media followers,
Rather keep on shooting
To find more personal meaning.
BE STRONG,
ERIC
