Advice I just gave some (to be expecting):
- Early potty training. 5 months is a good time to start.
- When you play with your kid or go to the park, just leave the phone locked up in the car, glove compartment etc.
- Uppababy stuff is the best; car seat, stroller etc. Get it used, or ideally a hand me down for free (how we got ours).
- For overnight diapers, Pampers overnights is the best.
- Don’t get Amazon diapers they suck. I would actually still get Pampers diapers; they are the best.
- In the early days of parenting you will do everything one handed. Thus, just have a small phone (iPhone Mini, iPhone SE), or put your iPhone into ‘one handed mode’.
- When you train your kid to poop or pee on the adult toilet, have them *face towards* the toiler bowl/flusher, and brace themselves, and teach them how to climb on top of it themselves later (at age 2 years, 8 months for Seneca).
- Delete YouTube app from your phone; it is the devil. Only let them play GarageBand on the iPhone, and let them play GarageBand and SWIFT PLAYGROUNDS (coding game from Apple) on iPad. Also let them view videos of themselves; no external foreign media.
- Don’t buy any toys; you will inherit or get a bunch as gifts anyways.
