The reason why the Stokes would’ve loved bitcoin is precisely because of the independence it affords. For example, with bitcoin, you have true sovereignty well, freedom from outside things.
For example, the downside of I think wealth, is when your wealth is stored in something which is nation nation state dependent. For example, for the Romans, this meant being subservient to the denari, which was the Roman currency at the time.
And also… In all of history, currency the basement was a big issue. Each Roman emperor would keep cutting their local currency with copper, until a gold coin Denarius was essentially worthless.
And also, the temptation is too strong. It’s like if you had the most beautiful women on the planet, peak feminae, and she was just walking around butt naked around you all day, and assuming that you were a very hormonal, 22-year-old male, wouldn’t you want to do something?
So my analogy is once again, the temptation for our currency the basement is too strong for emperors, in which they know that they’re not concerned about like the next thousand years of their currency, they themselves are seeking to finance their own current desires in the 10 to 20 year span?
Whereas with bitcoin, I think the more I think about it the more profound it becomes. For example, with bitcoin, like it is physically impossible to base bitcoin because of the mathematics behind it. For example, it is impossible to debate simple base 10 math.
You cannot one day just be like OK, one plus one does not equal to. It always will be.
And this is like the biggest profound and most simple thought: 21 million bitcoins forever, for all of humanity forever.
The reason this is so profound it once again, like assuming there is only 21 million people on the planet, that means that only 21 million individuals on the planet, which is a paltry amount, couldn’t afford to own one bitcoin.
P or a better energy, let us say that on the planet, there would only be 21 million single family homes on the planet, forever, and as a consequence, if you did not purchase or own a bitcoin, as property forever, you’re screwed.
