Thus the idea— being vegan or eating a “plant based diet†is more of a fashion ethos trend?

The days I drive a lot I get really tired?
Another good reason to adopt the bear lifestyle, 50 miles a day.
-
There is no such thing as a regret
Gretana— (grehd)— to sound.
To cross reference wiktionary— to howl and make a sound?
Theory: the notion of regret is a modern-day notion? Predicated on the notion that somehow we could plan the future?
To bewail the dead?
What is the etymology and the history of the word “regret“?
Instead, information to self about how to do do things differently the next time.
For example, deciding not to drive and get murdered in traffic!
Once again, nota bene; better to do the inferior thing, and not have to drive, and be able to walk maximally, 50 miles a day, than to drive and be stuck in any traffic.
Never forget: anti-traffic lifestyle.
What is the history of the word regret?
The word “regret” has its origins in Old French and has been used in the English language since the Middle Ages.
Etymology:
- “Regret” is derived from the Old French verb “regreter,” which means “to lament” or “bewail the dead.” The term is a combination of “re-” (a prefix meaning again or back) and “-greter” (possibly from the Frankish word “*gretan” meaning “weep”).
History:
- The use of “regret” in English can be traced back to the early 14th century, initially referring to feelings of sorrow or disappointment over something that has happened or been done, especially a loss or missed opportunity.
- Over time, the meaning evolved and expanded, but the essence of sorrow, disappointment, or distress over a past event has remained consistent in its usage.
- Today, “regret” can refer to both the feeling of sorrow about something in the past and the thing that causes that feeling.
In summary, “regret” has its roots in Old French, and its primary meaning has remained relatively consistent throughout its history in English, centering around feelings of sorrow or disappointment about past actions or events.

Artificial intelligence cannot philosophize about beauty
The reason why AI cannot philosophies about beauty is that it will simply rehash what has been said in the past by others about beauty. It cannot have any new carte blanche ideas about beauty.

ChatGPT:
Eric Kim’s philosophy on street photography and photography in general, as of my last update in January 2022, can be summarized by a few key points:
- Open Source Photography: Kim is a proponent of open-source knowledge. He has often shared his insights, tutorials, and even his photography for free. He believes in the democratization of photography education.
- Personal Photography: Kim has often talked about the idea of “personal photography” or making photos that are personally meaningful rather than seeking external validation. This is intertwined with his idea of shooting for oneself and not for the likes or appreciation of others.
- Everyday Life: Much of Kim’s work focuses on everyday life and ordinary moments. He encourages photographers to find beauty and significance in the mundane.
- Cindy Project: Named after his wife, the “Cindy Project” is a testament to Kim’s belief in personal photography, where he captures his life’s journey with his partner. It emphasizes the idea that one doesn’t always need to travel to exotic locations to make meaningful photographs.
- Conquer Your Fears: A significant part of Kim’s teaching revolves around conquering the fear of shooting on the street. He provides various tips and techniques to approach strangers and become more comfortable shooting in public spaces.
- Minimalism: Kim has also discussed the idea of minimalism in photography, both in terms of equipment and in the approach to capturing and presenting images.
It’s worth noting that philosophies and ideas can evolve over time, so while these are some of the principles Eric Kim has championed in the past, they might not represent his most current beliefs or practices. 10 Great Spartan Sayings
More fire from CHATGPT:
- Molon labe— come and take them!
- “Ifâ€
- “A guest is to be honoredâ€.
I like ChatGPT to quickly essentially do a “Google searchâ€â€” and spit out some interesting ideas. Quicker and more efficient way to do research!
ChatGPT:
The Spartans, known for their laconic wit and succinct way of speaking, left behind several famous sayings and retorts. Here are some of the best:
- “Μολὼν λαβΔ (MolÅn labé): Meaning “Come and take them.” This was King Leonidas I’s defiant response to the Persian demand to surrender their weapons at the Battle of Thermopylae.
- “If”: When Philip II of Macedon sent a message saying, “If I enter Laconia, I will raze Sparta,” the Spartans simply replied with “If.”
- “Neither”: On being asked whether they preferred war or death, they responded, “Neither.”
- “He is a wise man who does not grieve for the things which he has not, but rejoices for those which he has.”
- “With it or on it (Ή ταν ή επί ταςch)”: Spartan mothers would tell this to their sons as they went off to battle, meaning they should either return with their shield in hand (victorious) or being carried upon it (dead).
- “I would not be afraid of an army of lions if led by a sheep. But I would always fear an army of sheep if led by a lion.”: A testament to the importance of leadership.
- “Short is the joy that guilty pleasure brings.”
- “A guest is to be honored.”: Showing the Spartans’ regard for hospitality.
- “The tomb of the brave lies where they fell.”
- “It is not the well-fed man who is brave, but he who endures hunger.”
These sayings offer a glimpse into the stoic and warrior mindset of the ancient Spartans, valuing honor, courage, and simplicity in their communication.

BECOMING A ZEN PHOTOGRAPHER
One of the books that I wrote which I’m the most proud of is my Zen Photography book, which I finished in the Vietnam, at the wonderful LA VIET coffee cafe compound.
I think the reason why I love my Zen Photography book, and why it has resonated with so many people is that it is honest, interesting, and insightful.
I have some general thoughts about how to become a zen photographer — the first is focusing on the zen photography aesthetic and ethos.
The second one is very simple: delete all of your social media accounts. Delete Instagram, don’t use it. Delete comments, delete statistics, disable them all.
This is where I still recommend using wordpress.org over wordpress.com. it seems that wordpress.com, which is run by automaticc— they always find a stealthy way to try to include statistics and stats into everything.
With wordpress.org, you can disable comments, disable stats, disable at all.
No feedback
If you really really really really really want to become a zen photographer, the strategy is to structure things in such a way in which you’re not exposed to any feedback.
Also, I think the reason why I’ll never put Seneca in organized sports is that the focus on numbers, games, winners and losers is a bad one. I would rather just take him to a park, like Calvin and Hobbes just play Calvin Ball; just make up the game as you go along. And ultimately the sport in the game isn’t even that important, what is more important is your courage physicality strength and physical capacity and capability.
Zen aesthetics
First and foremost, I don’t think it’s actually necessary to shoot black-and-white. I personally prefer it, but you can still do it in color! Just keep the color super minimal.
For example, I really like the photo curation done by the Apple Photos team, there is this fun little dynamic photo exhibition gallery thing in front of the Apple office in Culver City on Washington, the compositions are beautiful; simple, elegant and flowing.
iPad Pro photographer?
Just shoot on your iPad!
Very funny thought that I have which I really love about shooting photos on the iPad, the iPad Pro 11 inch, with those stupid accessories is it almost feels like you’re shooting photos on a large format 8 x 10 camera, but done in modern-day times.
Certainly the image quality isn’t the best, but compositionally it is fun and interesting and I enjoy doing it a lot!
How to shoot more zen
Simple thoughts include just on one camera, one lens. Whether it is integrated or interchangeable doesn’t really matter.
A simple thought I have is with the lenses, or the camera set up, opt for the most minimal, the most lightweight compact setup. For example on my Lumix G9, I recently bought the Panasonic Lumix 14 mm of 2.5 pancake lens, and I love it! The more compact, smaller and lighter your lens… the more you shoot the happier will be etc.
Also, a simple suggestion is just purge all of your camera equipment. My friend Stan Hudecki did this with his stuff, giving it away to family members, or people in need. Good vibes.
In 2015 I did the same, also purging almost all of my camera equipment, just giving a way to friends, family members etc. The reason why I like giving away camera equipment is that it could have greater utility for somebody, rather than just the annoying thing of having to sell it. I actually don’t like to sell stuff because it is too much work. Having to coordinate, negotiate, it is all such a pain in the ass.
Other zen thoughts
When you go on a photo walk, or go out to take photos, a simple thought is just leave your phone at home. While I think the iPhone is a great tool for photography, it is just too distracting.
Also another tip what I personally do is whenever I take Seneca to the park, I always lock my phone in my glove compartment, and I play with him at the park in order to not get distracted.
I think the biggest enemy and today’s world is being distracted. Imagine shooting photos on your iPhone, getting all these stupid notifications while you’re shooting etc. The simple thought you could do instead is put it in airplane mode when you’re shooting, but the downside is also that you might be tempted to turn off the airplane mode.
The future is standalone digital cameras
When I was in Mexico City, my student Chris Chung had the compact digital medium format Hasselblad camera, and I liked it a lot. Why? It was simple minimalistic and aesthetic, and also, because digital medium format is lower, I think it forces you to slow down.
My pragmatic thought is digital medium format is great; I really love the Pentax 645Z, and I think it is actually a more interesting idea to buy a digital medium format camera instead of buying a digital Leica M camera or a Leica Q camera, which is essentially a low-key Panasonic Lumix camera. How do you know? The Leica Q1 camera uses Panasonic Lumix batteries! Proof is in the pudding.
Also apparently Pentax put out a new black and white only DSLR camera, I think this is the most interesting camera in the market.
Zen photography assignments
- For an entire day, only shoot photos in macro mode
- Delete your Instagram
- Start your own WordPress.org website, just use bluehost.com or Ionos.com
- If you already got a website, see if you could disable the comments and statistics
- Put on website blocker extensions on chrome or Safari or Firefox which block gear review websites and rumor websites
- Don’t follow any photography related websites or blogs or YouTube channels. All of them ultimately just want to get you to buy more equipment, whether cameras or lenses or other stuff
- If you should color photos, try to experiment only capturing one photo at a time. Only blue, only red, only yellow etc.
- When you’re out shooting and composing your photos, strive to make the edges and the background as simple as possible.
- Diagonal composition
- Triangle composition
Upload your best photos to arsbeta.com
Happy Halloween!
See if you could apply this Zen photography aesthetic to your Halloween photos! Make the photos as simple as possible, folks on details, and use the flash.
Arsbeta.com for your best photos
Zen tech?
The more lenses you got on your iPhone the worst. Nowadays my thought is whenever I see anybody with three lenses on their iPhone, it looks kind of silly.
Greater flex to have just the normal iPhone with 2 lenses (2 is enough, just like kids or kidneys or lungs), or better yet, an iPhone SE — with just one lens!
Also a simple thought: every day uninstall at least one app from your phone or iPad or whatever… Better yet uninstalled two apps from your phone every day!
Also, manually go into your iPhone notifications panel and disable all of the apps notifications which include text messaging etc. the only one I enable is FaceTime, in case that my mom Cindy or my sister need to contact me.
Zen tools
Zen thinking
- I am more afraid of the man who has trained one move 1000 times, than the man who knows 1000 moves – Bruce Lee
- Even a hair cast its own shadow — Publilus Syrus
- Better to use chatgpt to search for information instead of google, because you don’t have to deal with ads!
- Never read nothing that has an advertisement in it, which is all of you too, magazines, books which promote products or services etc.
- Just own one type of currency or one type of crypto. For example, I’m just invested in 100% bitcoin. It is either all or nothing, I’m also interested in chain-link, but yet have found a strong enough reason to dissolve all my bitcoin into chain-link. Proof of reserves however is a good idea.
- Just one wife, spouse or girlfriend: it seems that polygamy is too much stress. Better to just have one spouse, one wife, one girlfriend etc. More zen.

Of course! Bruce Lee was not only a martial artist and actor but also a philosopher. Here are some of his notable quotes:

ZEN PHOTO.
Also, I think the reason why I’ll never put Seneca in organize sports is that the focus on numbers, games, winners and losers is a bad one.

Happy Halloween!
See if you could apply this Zen photography aesthetic to your Halloween photos! Make the photos as simple as possible, folks on details, and use the flash.

Zen thinking

- Even a hair cast its own shadow — Publilus Syrus
- Better tea is Chechi PT to search for information instead of google, because you don’t have to deal with ads!
- Just one wife, spouse or girlfriend: it seems that Polygamy is too much stress. Better to just have one spouse, one wife, one girlfriend etc. More zen.
Think more:
-
Show me your balls!
I have a funny thought; perhaps bodybuilders, we should create a sort of new bodybuilding competition federation in which bodybuilders *must* appear in the nude.
First, you could tell whether their balls are shrunken or not. Apparently this is the number one most obvious indicator of steroid use. Because the feedback loop is simple; if you are injecting foreign testosterone into your body, signals to your body that you no longer need to naturally produce your own Testosterone, which is the hormone which comes from your testes, a.k.a. your balls.
The reason why I think this nude bodybuilding competition is such a good idea is that why is it that male nudity is so taboo? Porn, pornography, is so mainstream now, nobody really seems to care. But yet, there is still a taboo about male nudity?

When not to trust ChatGPT
For example I asked:
Explain how steroids work
Response:
Critiques:
- First and foremost, nobody really knows how muscle really works. The concept of small tears leading to muscular growth is just the theory, not definitive proof.
Steroids, specifically anabolic-androgenic steroids (AAS), are synthetic derivatives of the male hormone testosterone. They promote muscle growth (anabolic effects) and the development of male sexual characteristics (androgenic effects). Here’s a brief overview of how they work:
- Muscle Building: When you exercise, particularly weightlifting or resistance training, you create small tears in your muscles. When these tears repair, they grow back stronger, resulting in muscle growth. Steroids accelerate this process by:
- Increasing nitrogen retention in muscles. A positive nitrogen balance indicates an anabolic state which promotes muscle growth.
- Boosting protein synthesis. Steroids help the body to produce more protein, which is a building block for muscle tissues.
- Reducing cortisol levels. Cortisol is a stress hormone that can break down muscles. By reducing its levels, steroids prevent muscle breakdown.
- Increased Red Blood Cell Production: Steroids can increase the production of red blood cells, which can improve muscle oxygenation, thereby enhancing stamina and performance.
- Bone Density: Steroids can increase bone production and bone density, which is why they are sometimes prescribed medically for conditions like osteoporosis.
- Fat Reduction: Some steroids have the ability to oxidize fat, a process called lipid oxidation. This can lead to reductions in body fat.
- Androgenic Effects: Steroids can cause the development or enhancement of male characteristics such as facial hair, a deepened voice, and increased libido.
- Feedback Loop in Endocrine System: Testosterone production in the body operates on a feedback loop. When the body senses high levels of testosterone (or its derivatives from steroids), it signals the testes to reduce its production. This is why prolonged steroid use can lead to shrunken testicles or decreased natural testosterone production.
It’s crucial to note that while steroids have performance-enhancing capabilities, their use can lead to severe side effects, both physical and psychological. These can include liver damage, cardiovascular problems, reduced fertility, mood swings, and more. Hence, many sports organizations have banned their use.

Vegans & Steroids
Are there any vegan athletes who admitted to taking steroids?
It is widely understood that strong men are all on steroids. Even Patrick B— The vegan strongman in Germany, is most likely on steroids.
I am also certain that there are lots of CrossFit athletes on steroids, whether men or women.
Are there any famous CrossFit athletes who have taken steroids or admitted to it?
ChatGPT:
Yes, some CrossFit athletes have tested positive for banned substances, including steroids. One of the most notable cases was Ricky Garard, who finished third at the 2017 CrossFit Games. He later tested positive for two banned substances and was stripped of his medal and prize money. Garard received a four-year ban from CrossFit competition. While he admitted to taking the substances, he claimed he wasn’t aware they were banned.
It’s essential to differentiate between those who knowingly take banned substances and those who might have inadvertently consumed them via tainted supplements. Still, several athletes over the years have been sanctioned due to positive tests.
Remember that while some athletes have tested positive, many in the CrossFit community prioritize clean competition and strictly adhere to anti-doping rules.
Another interesting article I read on vice was that powerlifting, steroids are not banned and part of the thing.
ChatGPT:
Yes, several powerlifters have admitted to using steroids or performance-enhancing drugs (PEDs) over the years. Here are a few notable ones:
- Ed Coan: Widely regarded as one of the greatest powerlifters of all time, Ed Coan was suspended from competition multiple times due to failed drug tests. In interviews, he has been open about his use of steroids during his powerlifting career.
- Bill Kazmaier: One of the strongest men in history, Kazmaier has mentioned in interviews that he used steroids early in his career. However, he has also noted that during his prime years in the World’s Strongest Man competitions, he did not use them.
- Kirk Karwoski: Known for his incredible squat numbers, Karwoski never made a secret of his steroid use, discussing it openly in interviews.
- Jamie Lewis: A powerlifter and author, Lewis has been transparent about his use of PEDs on his blog and in various interviews.
- Paul Carter: A strength coach and writer, Carter has discussed his use of steroids in his writings and on social media.
It’s worth noting that powerlifting consists of various federations and organizations, some of which are “tested” (meaning they conduct drug tests) and others that are “untested” (where PED use is not monitored). Many powerlifters who compete in untested federations are transparent about their use of steroids or PEDs, considering it a part of the sport at that level.
However, using steroids and PEDs carries health risks, and their use is a personal decision each athlete makes based on their goals, ethics, and the rules of the federation in which they compete.

Steroids
I suppose I have been the silly and naïve person all along, it seems that I have no idea and had no idea that actually in fact, all of these individuals were addicted to taking steroids without my knowledge.
One of my theories is that a lot of individuals who are bald also takes steroids. Why?
Let us think about some of the greatest basketball players in history, Michael Jordan, Shaquille O’Neal, Kobe Bryant, and not LeBron James… Who seems to have a receding hairline. What is the issue here? Often steroid use or performance enhancing drug use causes men to have hair loss. Either to go fully bald, or bald spots.
Even when I was in high school playing American football, I found it very bizarre that some of the guys on the team, technically just high school juniors or seniors were already going bald! Maybe they were on something.
How do you know if somebody takes steroids or not?
The only positive way to know 100% is whether they have admitted to it. Like Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Research
Tell me more about bodybuilders who have admitted to taking steroids.
ChatGPT:
Steroid use is more openly discussed in the bodybuilding community compared to professional sports. Some bodybuilders have come forward and admitted to using steroids, either during their careers or after retirement. Here are a few notable names:
- Arnold Schwarzenegger: One of the most iconic figures in bodybuilding, Schwarzenegger admitted in several interviews to using steroids during his competitive bodybuilding days. However, he has emphasized that he used them before they were illegal and has since advocated against their misuse.
- Dorian Yates: The six-time Mr. Olympia winner has been open about his steroid use, discussing it in interviews and documentaries. Yates has detailed his approach to steroids, emphasizing that they were just one part of his bodybuilding regimen.
- Lee Priest: An Australian bodybuilder known for his impressive physique, Priest has admitted to using steroids and has spoken candidly about it in interviews. He has stated that steroids alone aren’t responsible for a top-level physique; hard work and genetics play significant roles.
- Rich Piana: Before his passing, Piana was vocal about his extensive use of steroids and other PEDs. He discussed his drug use on his YouTube channel and in interviews, emphasizing the risks and encouraging informed decisions.
- Flex Wheeler: Wheeler, another top-level bodybuilder, has discussed using steroids during his career. He has also highlighted the importance of understanding the substances and consulting medical professionals.
It’s essential to understand that while these bodybuilders have admitted to using steroids, they have also often emphasized the importance of hard work, nutrition, genetics, and other factors in achieving their physiques. They have also often stressed that steroids come with risks and potential side effects.
Many bodybuilders, especially at the elite level, may use steroids or other PEDs, but not all of them speak openly about it. This is due to the stigma associated with steroid use, potential legal repercussions, and concerns about influencing younger athletes.
Also— apparently, a lot of people take steroids who you wouldn’t suspect for taking steroids, like people who do yoga, rock climbing, calisthenics, and let us not forget that even a lot of vegan bodybuilders and vegan strong men and vegan power lifters are also on steroids!
Are there any instances in which professional basketball players admitted to taking steroids?
ChatGPT:
As of my last update in January 2022, several professional basketball players have faced suspensions or penalties related to violations of the NBA’s anti-drug program, which includes performance-enhancing drugs (PEDs). However, it’s important to distinguish between players who were penalized for using PEDs and those who actually admitted to using them. Many players have denied knowingly using banned substances, attributing positive tests to tainted supplements or medications.
A few notable instances include:
- Rashard Lewis (2009): The Orlando Magic forward was suspended for 10 games for testing positive for a banned substance. Lewis stated that he took an over-the-counter supplement that included a substance he didn’t realize was banned by the NBA.
- Hedo Türkoğlu (2013): The Orlando Magic forward was suspended for 20 games after testing positive for methenolone, an anabolic steroid. Türkoğlu stated that he had taken medication to treat a shoulder injury and was unaware it contained a banned substance.
- Joakim Noah (2017): The New York Knicks center was suspended for 20 games after testing positive for an over-the-counter supplement that was not approved by the FDA.
These are just a few examples. It’s crucial to note that the NBA’s anti-drug program not only bans steroids but also various other substances. Some players might test positive for other reasons, such as recreational drug use or banned stimulants.
Moreover, players from other basketball leagues worldwide might have faced similar issues. The global nature of basketball means that players in various countries and leagues may have different experiences with PED testing and regulations.

Critique of CHATGPT
So one thing I really hate about ChatGPT, AI, Google search, etc. is that honestly it seems that the way that ChatGPT communicates “woke talkâ€. For example, I asked ChatGPT to do a nutritional breakdown of bone marrow and it said this:
Nutritional Breakdown (per 100 grams of beef bone marrow):
• Calories: ~ 786 kcal • Total Fat: ~ 87g • Saturated fat: ~ 34g • Monounsaturated fat: ~ 41g • Polyunsaturated fat: ~ 5.9g • Protein: ~ 7g • Carbohydrates: Negligible • Dietary Fiber: 0g • Sugars: 0g • Vitamin B12: ~ 3.7 µg (154% of Daily Value) • Iron: ~ 6.2 mg (34% of Daily Value) • Zinc: ~ 2.3 mg (21% of Daily Value) • Selenium: ~ 18 µg (32% of Daily Value) • Phosphorus: ~ 4 mg (0.6% of Daily Value)
It’s important to note that while bone marrow can offer various nutrients, it is also high in saturated fats. Therefore, like all foods, it should be consumed in moderation as part of a balanced diet. Always consult with a nutritionist or healthcare professional when making significant changes to your diet.
Why is this nonsense?
First, this still insidious notion that somehow saturated fat is “bad for you“. Also, this nonsensical idea of a “balanced diet“, and also, “consumption and moderation“.
Also ChatGPT is just trying to cover its ass by talking about consulting with the nutritional list or healthcare professional, none of whom are fit.
For example, take a look at the bodily physiology of nurses. They are some of the most unhealthy looking people around. Or even your doctor, a lot of doctors I know are low-key smokers, and also not fit. My simple heuristic:
I will never take advice from anyone who is not more jacked than me, presumably not on steroids.

Bone Marrow Thoughts
Bone marrow is food of the demigod, think Achilles.
Can you describe the nutritional benefits of bone marrow, and also a nutritional breakdown of bone marrow?
GPT:
Certainly!
Nutritional Benefits of Bone Marrow:
- Rich in Fats: Bone marrow is primarily made up of fat, which can be a source of energy and is essential for the absorption of certain vitamins.
- Contains Collagen: Bone marrow provides collagen, which plays a vital role in maintaining skin elasticity, joint health, and building connective tissues.
- Vital Nutrients: It contains essential fatty acids, vitamin B12, and minerals such as phosphorus, iron, zinc, selenium, and manganese.
- Immune System Support: Some studies suggest that bone marrow can boost the immune system because of its lipid components known as alkylglycerols, which are involved in the production of white blood cells.
- Glycosaminoglycans (GAG): These are molecules found in bone marrow that play a critical role in joint health and integrity.
Nutritional Breakdown (per 100 grams of beef bone marrow):
- Calories: ~ 786 kcal
- Total Fat: ~ 87g
- Saturated fat: ~ 34g
- Monounsaturated fat: ~ 41g
- Polyunsaturated fat: ~ 5.9g
- Protein: ~ 7g
- Carbohydrates: Negligible
- Dietary Fiber: 0g
- Sugars: 0g
- Vitamin B12: ~ 3.7 µg (154% of Daily Value)
- Iron: ~ 6.2 mg (34% of Daily Value)
- Zinc: ~ 2.3 mg (21% of Daily Value)
- Selenium: ~ 18 µg (32% of Daily Value)
- Phosphorus: ~ 4 mg (0.6% of Daily Value)
It’s important to note that while bone marrow can offer various nutrients, it is also high in saturated fats. Therefore, like all foods, it should be consumed in moderation as part of a balanced diet. Always consult with a nutritionist or healthcare professional when making significant changes to your diet.

What should we eat?
Enrails— bone marrow, heart.
Bone marrow, beef bone marrow, just buy beef bone shank, beef shank, and air fryer the bone marrow for 10 minutes at 400°, the default setting, and scoop it out with chopsticks or a small spoon!
Apparently Achilles as a child, was educated by Chiron— a centaur, and fed bone marrow and animal enrails (aka, organ meats).
Also a thought; maybe the best way to educate our children is through private tutors, like Marcus Aurelius, he was taught by a private tutor, not a “school“— which essentially seems to be some sort of free daycare for kids, or paid.

Achilles & Bone Marrow
In Greek mythology, the hero Achilles was said to have been fed a special diet by his tutor Chiron, a centaur known for his knowledge of medicine among other things, to make him strong. This diet reportedly included the marrow of various animals. Here are some details from different sources:
- A source mentions that under Chiron’s care, Achilles was fed a diet that included the marrow of she-wolves, along with the innards of lions and wild pigs oai_citation:1,Who was Achilles? | British Museum.
- Another source explains that some mythic traditions hold that Chiron fed Achilles a diet of boar and lion entrails, as well as the marrow of bear bones, to impart the strength of those beasts into him oai_citation:2,DiscoverNet | The Mythology Of Achilles Explained.
- A third source from a Dictionary of Greek and Roman biography and mythology also mentions that Chiron fed Achilles with the hearts of lions and the marrow of bears oai_citation:3,A Dictionary of Greek and Roman biography and mythology, Achilles.
These mythical narratives underline the belief in the ancient world regarding the imparting of strength and other desirable qualities through the consumption of certain parts of powerful or ferocious animals.

Maybe the best way to think about things is don’t treat it like riders block; think of it like fingers block. This means, it isn’t really riding which is the challenge, but thinking.

The logic of getting a brand new Prius over a brand new Tesla?
Been seeing more Priuses on the road, the new one. I think the design looks pretty cool, but still… why would you buy a brand new Prius when you go buy a brand new Tesla?
I think it is interesting and wise and smart to buy a used Prius, let’s say the 2010 model. For myself, I re-inherited the family car — a white 2010 Toyota Prius and I effing love it!
Design critique of the new Prius
For the most part, the new design of the new Prius is pretty cool. But what I don’t really like or love is that from the side, it seems like the design was a compromise. For example on the rear hatchback, the rear seats, they made the doorhandles flush and hidden, like the same that they do on the subcompact Honda or Toyota cars. But, they still have normal doorhandles in the front? Doesn’t really make sense to me.
Also, the shift knob. The 2010 version of the Prius, what they did with the shift knob was insanely innovative and futuristic, but now, for some reason they took a step back… making it look like an old Toyota Camry or an older Honda Accord?

ChatGPT should just make a simple voice dictation writing app?
I think a huge problem that people have is writer’s block. A simple solution is to just create a standalone app, which is just focused on writing and voice dictation.
Maybe I will build this; the funny thought is that there is no keyboard, you could only use your voice!
How would this benefit people?
First, we talk more efficiently than we can type. Also, the huge benefit even as I write these words is being able to walk around, upright out in public, in the direct light, on my 11 inch iPad Pro M1 chip, no case no keyboard no stupid pencil, not even a Wi-Fi connection! And I am very very very happy that for the most part, the voice dictation accuracy adjust the built in Apple voice dictation microphone icon on the bottom left is insanely great!
The biggest issue is that people seem shy to speak in public, as a cultural issue. Why? Social cultural one; in the western modernized world, one is not permitted to be allowed and vocal in public. What I love about the mainland Chinese is that they have no regard for this; they talk insanely loud wherever they are, also always using voice dictation or just sending voice text messages and voice memos to one another. This was also very interesting to see in Cambodia, because apparently speaking Khmer to type out is insanely arduous, and as a hack and a workaround, they discovered that to send Snapchat like voice messages to one another is actually much more effective and efficient.
I don’t think it’s the technology issue, but simply a cultural one. How can we encourage more people to use voice dictation instead?
*
People just jealous and envious!

Mentally sick people?
Something that I learned is that we should not try to “fixâ€, or seek to understand mentally sick people. What that means is this; people who are mentally unstable and unwell, apparently the security guards call them 51-50’s — imagine like crazy people, high on some sort of crack or strange drug, running around smelling bed etc. The mere sight or smell of them is repulsive.
Therefore as a consequence, it seems that the optimal thing is to just not be near them within a 5 mile radius.
Another reason of not living or moving to Santa Monica. The place is a dump.

The direct light!
Now that winter is upon us, something I’ve discovered and observed is that there’s nothing better than direct light! Things in the cold are terrible because it is so frigid and unpleasant.
Even real estate and buildings; I think the most important thing is that the sun must directly face you. This is the best way to get maximum sun exposure UV radiation etc.
.
Critique things or change things?
.
Open air gymnasium concept?
In terms of hygiene, wellness, health and strength, it seems that the most supreme concept is an open air gymnasium, in the direct light, in the direct sun.
If it is really really really really hot, like in Arizona or Nevada, then an outdoor, concept, with a simple covering is a good idea.
But I suppose the question and nuance is this; is it a good idea or is it wise to have to own or lease it? Or even borrow it?
I suppose the downside is having to maintain it.

It seems the only reason we like Lamborghini is for the brand-name, and also the Lamborghini scissor doors. However if we could just apply this to ourselves in real life, what would it look like?
first and foremost, your haircut. Cindy calls in my Lamborghini haircut; very very closely shaped on the sides, Long on the top, flowing back.
Second, your bodily physique. Highly muscular, sleek, low body fat percentage. The basic ideal is to be super buff with the six pack. And of course no steroids.

Beautiful icons
The reason why I give ChatGPT a home on my iPhone and iPad is because the ChatGPT icon is actually very beautiful! My critique is all these icons for other apps are so ugly. For example, I really really really hate the way that the Google calendar app looks, as well as the Gmail app, as well as Google Chrome. I think Safari icons are beautiful!
Also, this is perhaps the motivation and impetus towards Apple and Apple products, iPhone iPad etc.… Just for the icons!
I think people are a little bit foolish in not thinking and considering how important and critical it is to have beautiful icons. I think 99% of the effort should be on designing the icon and logo, and everything else should be an afterthought.
For example, Tesla. I am so insanely inspired by Tesla, whoever designed the original Tesla logo did an insanely great job. Why? Even now it’s still looks beautiful!
I recently went to the Petersen automotive museum with Seneca, and one of the great things that I noted was on the original Tesla roadster, the one which was essentially a redesigned Lotus, they still had the same Tesla logo! Also, I think truly great companies design and make a logo that is insanely beautiful.
One thing I also find very inspirational about KIA is their new logo and emblem; I think it looks super super cool, very futuristic. I suggestion is that genesis needs to rebrand their Hyundai logo, and also they need a new logo for Hyundai genesis as a brand.
How to become more hype?
A simple thought I have in terms of becoming more hype, is very very simple: try to walk 50 miles a day. I call this the bear lifestyle.
This totally may be false, but apparently bears walk 50 miles a day! Whether this is an exaggeration or not, I think it is an interesting high framing point; that is, if we set the bar very very high, then we could meet it a little bit in the middle.
For example another thing I have observed is the days where I walk a lot, let’s say 20,000 steps a day, my mood health and productivity is insanely high! And isn’t that the point of life… to become more productive?
“The point and purpose of life isn’t productivity!†Said all unproductive people.

It seems that a good idea is to build up and market your own neighborhood, instead of just trying to trying to ride the coat tails of something which is already established and popular and successful and famous.

How Photography Matters
Another thing that ChatGPT and AI can never ascertain for us; how photography matters:
How and why does photography matter?
Well first and foremost, walking by the Apple office on Washington and seeing all these lovely photographs shot on what I assume is an iPhones; the photos are actually insanely lovely! It seems that the aesthetic trend is towards simplicity and elegance, and I think that the Apple Photos team there has done a great job of creating the images, creating colorful collages, etc.
What I personally love is the human element. That is, to me, the best photographs are the ones which include a human element. Why? There is nothing more beautiful than humans, the human body, human beings etc.
The future for photography
Some other good thoughts I have been gleaning from chatGPT and DALL-E: the artwork it creates is very fascinating, but ultimately… It all just looks like clipart. Do you remember the random clipart that you had from Microsoft Word 95, with a little paper clip? Yeah kinda like that.
What I think is so impressive about the artwork that ChatGPT produces is that it is very very random unexpected, and I love the randomness aspect. I think I could play with ChatGPT and DALL-E for the rest of my life, and never get bored.
So where does photography enter the picture?
Well first and foremost, I am sure that sooner or later, ChatGPT and image AI will be able to produce images that indeed do look photorealistic. But ultimately that is not what really matters… what really matters instead is the fun that we human beings have simply walking around, exploring, making photographs!
I think there is this weird trend in Silicon Valley to make everything more efficient, more productive, etc. I think the low-key ethos with a lot of the silicon valley nurse is that ultimately they want to see AI and artificial intelligence surpass human beings. They want to make human beings irrelevant.
I instead, have a much more simple ancient Greek approach; I have a trend towards simplicity, childlike fun, play, not taking things too seriously, etc.
-
ChatGPT and DALL-E 3 is actually making me more motivated to make my own artwork?
Why? I am insanely impressed by how quickly it produces the artwork and imagery, but ultimately, it is not specific enough for my own artistic vision.
As a consequence, I am interested in simply designing it myself!

Double dipping.
.
What I really want is to really make AI truly my personal assistant! For example something that could literally scan my entire inbox and see whether there are actually really interesting opportunities or is all just spam.
Also, shouldn’t ChatGPT and AI, maybe even Gmail though at this point whether something is spam or not? It is so insanely obvious! All of these fake SEO “consultantsâ€,.
.
What is the future of SEO, search engine optimization in the world of chatGPT, AI, and artificial intelligence which produces text?
I still hesitate calling it artificial intelligence, or AI. It is something else… I would just think of it more like a script. You just put some sort of idea and then the script spits out some sort of computer generated text. And the ethos and the logic behind the text is based on which has been written in the past, which was uploaded to the Internet. what ChatGPT and AI does is scrape the whole entire Internet, use some sort of natural language processing models, and then produces grammatically accurate sentences.
What is very very impressive is actually the natural voice AI. I was playing with the new ChatGPT for voice AI in the sound and seeing the real! We are already ready in a world in which AI sounds like a real human being; essentially at this point AI could produce its own podcast, and nobody would know any different.
Does this matter though?
The big question is whether this matters or not. I don’t really think so.

Invest in the platform
Even though I really really hate spectrum, the whole Wi-Fi on it sucks, I even got the highest most expensive plan which is about $110 a month… One of the upsides is that when you’re out and about and a lot of public spaces, there is a free Open spectrum Wi-Fi hotspot, which is only available to spectrum customers. Here, it is worth it!
