Listening to Pop Style by Drake, Jay Z and Kanye West; a thought—
Perhaps the upside of mumbling, mumble rap, mumble music is that you are not restricted by grammar or traditional modes of communication, which allows for more innovation.
Also, this sentiment is mirrored by Nassim Taleb, that actually, if you want people to more attentively listen to you, by mumbling, they’re more likely to try to focus and pay attention to you.
This is an important thing, because we are indoctrinated to think that the best way to talk is loudly and clearly, like a Ted talk, or writing like the New York Times. However, what if this methodology is holding us back, and holding back human creativity, modes of expression, and creative artistic innovation?
Then, maybe the best way to become more creative is to unchain yourself from the rules of grammar, and traditional ways of doing things.
