Why impress others?
It gives us a power boost, or self esteem boost. The ego which feeds itself based on the feedback and reactions of others.
But what if you no longer care to impress others? Is it possible for a certain ego to feed on itself, without needing to recourse to impress others? Or in other words, is it possible to increase your ego, in isolation? I think so. As long as you have access to the Internet, and can publish your thoughts and artwork.
