HYBRID LIVING

Your goal isn’t to spend all of your time in embodied reality, or all of your time in virtual reality, it is to do both. To spend some of your time in virtual reality and some of your time in embodied reality. To do both, to get the maximum out of both, via the barbell method.

Thus the simple thought: when you’re in embodied reality, be 100% disconnected from the Internet, and when you’re in virtual reality, be 100% plugged in. In other words, when you’re with friends and family put away your phone, and when you’re in virtual reality have noise canceling headphones on.

How to be best productive?

A thought: if you want to really maximize your productivity, better to have 30 minutes of 100% focused with no interruptions, then three hours with mild interruptions.

Getting the best of both worlds

Even though electric cars are much sexier than hybrid cars, hybrid cars may be better. Why? Recharging your hybrid car with gasoline is 1 trillion times faster than recharging it even with a supercharger.

Even the new hyper cars are becoming hybrids, rather than 100% electric. If you think about the new McLaren, the new Lamborghini, and the new Ferraris, they all harnessed the best out of gasoline and electric.

Even if I were to get a car today, I’d probably prefer a Lexus UX hybrid over a Tesla Model 3.
