Slave Mentality vs Master Mentality

One of the worst curses of modernity:

We have been brainwashed to become obedient slaves.

Most of modernity is simply systematized forms of domestication of man.

Money is slavery

A realization:

If you derive your income (no matter if you earn $500,000 a year or whatever) from an external source (company), you are still a slave.

For example Sundar is still a slave to Google. Any high-powered CEO (like Tim Cook) is still a slave to the corporation. It is their duty to maximize profits. This is the duty of a corporation. And my simple thought:

As long as you work for a corporation you can never have any true individualistic ethics.

Why? The overwhelming pressure and power of a corporation is this:

Any actions or ethics or morality which encourages maximizing profits is good.

For example I have deep outrage against companies who suddenly care for ‘Black Lives Matter’ when it became a sneaky low-key way to advertise a company to be ‘woke’, ‘progressive’ or whatever. For a corporation to slang a social-justice angle is immoral.

Master mentality

The desire to become master:

You don’t gotta be rich … you just gotta become a master of yourself.

This means:

  1. No employment beyond self employment
  2. No taking on jobs or consulting gigs which you wouldn’t otherwise do for free
  3. Only pursue things which interest you.
