Physical, Mental, and Artistic Power

Deadlifting 420 pounds (four 45-plates on each side, with a 2.5+5 pounder)

My ideal:

To become “power overwhelming” in the triad of physical, mental, and artistic power.

This is what I consider will bring us ultimate happiness, power, and joy in existence!

My ideal playground

My ideal playground and environment:

  1. Part gym
  2. Part coffee shop
  3. Part all-you-can-way buffet

In this environment we can deadlift, squat, lift, think, write, read, and recover. And for breaks, we walk around the city and shoot photos.

Imagine if you took a powerlifting gym and combined it with an Equinox, Las Vegas buffet, and library-coffee shop.

I wouldn’t trust the verbally lofty literature of a scrawny person

We all desire more strength and power. Would you trust the lofty words and poetry of a Hercules, or of a “skinny fat”and emaciated (wimpy) academic?

The Farnese Hercules 1742 Richard Dalton. My ideal.

The high I get after completing (or attempting) a one rep max

After a new PR (personal record) in any of my lifts, I get this extreme high. It’s a feeling of being a demigod, where you literally feel invincible and super-human.

Today I squatted 325 pounds (once)

What I then do is channel this energy and insanely great physiological high I get and work on art, writing (as I’m doing now), making photos, walking, thinking, etc.

Bodily strength as the first mover.

My thought:

First strengthen the body (powerlift, eat lots of meat, sleep a ton), then everything else will follow.
