10 Tips: Dynamic Imagery

What kind of images are good? Images that move, dance, and motivate us to move!

1. Diagonals, shadows and light

In praise of dynamic images with off-center (asymmetric) compositions.

2. Gritty photos

Photos with textures, grain, grit, and asymmetric divisions.

3. Converging lines

Combine curved lines, converging lines.

4. Grit, black and white, scratches

Scratchy photos — heighten feelings of movement? Or lots of “beats”in the image?

5. Drip

Paint drip providence

Dripping paint — something which also fascinated us with graffiti and street art? We can feel and witness the dripping of the paint (more dynamic, more movement).

6. Veins

Photos which look there are veins in the image.

7. Nature

Natural dynamism in nature — petals of flowers.
