A life without photography isn’t a life worth living:
1. Photography as artistic expression
Photography as our primary form of photographic expression. If you cannot express yourself, you start to die and wither inside.
You must create new photos and new artwork in order to thrive and live!
2. Photography as visual play
To thrive is to play. A life is best when we are actively playing!
To me, photography is so fun because it is endlessly fascinating. How many new compositions, new images, or new photo opportunities have you yet to discover or create?
This pregnancy of new opportunities — deep hope for our future in photography!
3. Photography as simple joys in life
Deep thanksgiving for being alive and for existence. Photography empowers us to become “yea sayers” to life and existence!
With photography, I paint my happiness with my photos. I feel ultimately joyful photos are the best photos.
4. Fascination for the world, shapes, forms.
I love photography because it transforms the world. I can use the camera to fashion the world as I would like. Also, photography as uncovering hidden beauty in the world.
Also, the “random effects”I get from photography still fascinate me deeply. Like random blur, movement, and the effects of light.
5. Photographic exercise
Photography and street photography: good exercise for the body and soul.
When traveling, best to just walk a lot and shoot whatever interesting you see and experience!
The more we shoot street photography, the happier and healthier we are!
Conclusion: Never stop making new photos
I think the principle to photography and life is to never stop making new photos and artwork.
If you’re not busy making new photos, you’re busy dying (spirit of Bob Dylan).
