Why Dynamic Composition?

Golden Triangle x Annette Kim

I think a great photograph is compromised of the following:

  1. Composition
  2. Emotion
  3. Soul

The first element is composition.

To make a powerful impression on your viewer, you need a STRONG, DYNAMIC, yet simple composition. This workshop will empower you how to add more dynamism, energy, and life into your pictures—to truly breathe more power into your photography.

In the workshop, we will cover the fundamentals of Dynamic Composition. We will cover:

  1. The dynamic proportions of photography,
  2. The philosophy of “The Frame”
  3. Classic compositional mistakes to avoid
  4. How to not make boring pictures
  5. How to add more drama, mystery, and sex to your pictures
  6. Why I am anti-symmetry for Dynamic Composition
  7. How to see the world in red lines and triangles when you’re shooting on the streets
  8. How to select your best compositions afterwards in the post-production and editing phase
  9. How to make more dynamic pictures with flash photography
  10. How to embrace a novel and dynamic perspective in your photography

Of course, the workshop will cover these topics and many more. I will share with you in this action-packed 2-day workshop all my distilled lessons in composition from the masters of photography, as well as from my own personal and practical experiences over the last 10 years of shooting street photography.
