Also, don’t trust people and founders who create things, build it up, and just sell it, and move onto the next project. These guys are more likely sleazy businessmen, rather than true innovators who care.
Because if you really really really really really care for a project, you would never sell it. It is true that when you build something, it is like your child. Would you sell or abandon your child?
For example, I would never sell my website or blog. Even if somebody offered me $100 trillion. Why? It is an extension of myself. I would never sell myself.
Every upside in life should have a corresponding downside. For example, assuming that you have more privilege, you must also be more at risk at danger. For example, how Napoleon would always be at the front lines. If you’re the leader, or the emperor, you should be the first to willing to die for your country.
For example Eastern European cultures as extremely pessimistic. Western Europe as stagnant. Germany as the only productive nation in western Europe, but they don’t seem either pessimistic or optimistic, but indifferent.
London and the UK as pessimistic. Switzerland as well — pessimistic.
Vietnam as optimistic — on the up and up.
How about America? For the most part, with capitalism and consumerism, still optimistic. The idea that any individual with enough efforts and daring can become famous, rich, and successful.
Immigrants as optimistic, refugees as pessimistic.
Technology is optimistic, culture is pessimistic.
Apple and Tesla as optimistic companies.
Fashion, media and music as optimistic. YouTube is optimistic. Podcasters as pessimistic.
Future success — deal and promote optimism!
K-POP blackpink as optimistic.
San Francisco and Bay Area pessimistic. New York indifferent.
Perhaps the reason why people are so miserable in everyday life is the lack of danger. The more danger in your life, the more fun and challenging and interesting it is!
Or when there is no danger, I am lulled to sleep. Also, chaos stimulates me. I love chaos. The more chaotic the city and environment, the better.
Therefore, don’t be one of these suckers who strives to stamp out all chaos from their lives. Rather, perhaps we should be promoting more chaos in our lives.
Perhaps this is why Southeast Asia, and developing cities and countries are much more fascinating. More chaos, more fun.
Perhaps the reason I don’t like shirts is that I want my muscles to keep growing bigger, and not let my obtrusive clothes constrain me or get in my way.
Perhaps the secret to happiness in life is doing things which actually require your supreme focus. Or in other words, what are certain things that you must do 100% undistracted, and you cannot do while double tasking, or looking or glancing on your phone?
The only times in life in which I felt depressed is when I felt that I personally retrogressed or got weaker. Or when I reached a certain summit or peak, I retrogressed.
When you blog or vlog, do it more personally. Like you’re talking to a friend.
The success of LISA from blackpink — great swagger and personality. The others seem nameless.
In terms of approach, louder, more audacious, more the center of attention. Be an entertainer. Better to be the jester than the “serious†person.
Speak more ruthlessly
“I took my top off, ooh I’m so roofless!†(ruthless), via JAY Z
Most people talk too boringly.
Also, show more. Don’t cut it too cleanly — show the imperfections and flaws of yourself.
Show your successes, show your failures. Show your path.
There is no right or wrong way — only “your†way (and NOTyour way).
Also, just have fun with it! Don’t take it or yourself too seriously.
Better to be hated than to be ignored
Hate cannot be faked. If people hate you, it is a genuine sign of your notoriety.
The only way to measure your “success†is how many, and whether or not people hate you. Because consider if you’re a nobody, nobody will hate you. If you put yourself out there, which takes great courage, you put yourself at risk of attack. And this is what true courage is— skin in the game (Taleb).
Ironically enough my cheap UNIQLO athletic shorts work better, are less obtrusive.
The Lululemon license to train shorts are good for travel, and every day living, because of the zipper pockets. But, too many components and zippers get in the way when you’re powerlifting one rep max for deadlift and squat. They don’t roll up well for the “hyper short shortsâ€.
Extreme self pride, and personal self vanity is good. Individualism is good. The West and America promote individualism, whereas the east promotes collectivism. Individualism makes for more interesting media.
