As photographer-artists, it all comes down to aesthetics (the philosophy of beauty):
For example, I am HIGHLY selective and HIGHLY picky about what I consider beautiful. Perhaps this is the root of my love and passion for art.
Thought:
The artist as an aesthetically-picky person?
Become beautiful and create beautiful things
For example, my personal bodily aesthetics are supremely important to me. Much of my ‘body-building’ comes from the notion of me wanting to build my body into a monument I deem beautiful (more muscle mass, less body fat).
Also, my drive as an artist:
My desire to create beautiful art-works (photos).
Aesthetics as personal taste
What is good or bad taste? There is none. It just comes down to your personal philosophy, personal aesthetics, and personal beliefs.
