Maybe most people aren’t built for this, but I am?
I’m shocked. Come on… All of you in the bitcoin, and MSTR community, everyone is dropping like flies. Have you no courage conviction and loyalty?
Upon deeper consideration… Maybe the truth is… I’m like a unique case, perhaps I am the demigod unicorn, in which I’m unfazed by all of this? Maybe this is why I’m such a great investor, losing my life savings of $3500 when I was 21 years old, I’m 38 now… And actually, I’ve been investing your person since I was like maybe 14 or 15 years old? I still remember purchasing Adobe stock when I was sophomore or junior high school? I remember buying it, because I used Adobe Photoshop all the time, and I knew that it was important. In high school, my high school math teacher, Dr. Ahmed, taught me about aggressive mutual funds, and he even told me stuff like I should pretend like I’m an emancipated minor, so I could go to college for free, and then I could use all the student loan or scholarship money to a invest in aggressive mutual funds?
Anyways, time in the game, skin in the game.
Also perhaps… I have like 1 trillion times more disciplined than anyone else out there? When I bought bitcoin for the first time in 2018 when it was only $7000 a coin, I bought about 3.5 bitcoins, and and for the most part, I did not look at prices for like the next six or seven years on purpose. Because I knew it made me too emotional.
And so it’s funny… I remember the first time, bitcoin went from $7000 all the way up to like $60,000, and then the whole FTX thing happen, which funny enough, I had no idea what it was because I was off-line, And disconnected… I only discovered who Sam Bankman-Fried was like nine months ago?
Anyways, I didn’t even know that bitcoin went from $60,000 a bitcoin down to like $10,000 a bitcoin. This is where ignorance is bliss, because essentially I never sold my bitcoin, I wrote through the way because I was simply ignorant of it?
And this was actually an active ignorance ,, I actively decided to be ignorant because I know that essentially bitcoin will go up forever, up into the right… And so it didn’t really make sense for me to check prices every day or whatever because also the second thing, through my stoic zen training, at this point I don’t really care for money anymore. I’m already dumb rich, through my sexy frugality. At this point, the luxuries I invest in is actually for my health; Jim weightlifting equipment, and this is the most critical thing… Extreme carnivore diet, 2 kg of beef a night, in order to sleep 8 to 12 hours a night, because this is my deep suspicion: all these people who are panicking, is because they don’t sleep enough?
Throw your iPhone into the trash
Man I am so wise.
A very simple practice: so like I wake up super early, not on purpose but accident. 2 AM, 2:30 AM, 3 AM, 3:30 AM etc. It is not out of virtue, I want to sleep more but I cannot.
Fortunately, now that Santa cousin in school we all sleep early. His bedtime is 6:30 PM, and Cindy and I go to sleep immediately after that. So assuming that I fall asleep at around 7 PM, even if I wake up at 3 AM, technically I think I still get my eight hours of sleep.
And I think, come on,… If you’re like managing millions of dollars, you gotta build yourself for the long run. I think like the best visual is like some sort of armored AMG G wagon, mad max strapped up with fuel on the sides, and you’re like ready to go 1200 miles in one go, rather than being some sort of small penis loser, driving a Lamborghini really fast for like a quarter of a city block.
As an unrelated note, if you want to cure or conquer your desire for all of these loser cars, move to Phnom Penh Cambodia, where do you see Lamborghini’s Rolls-Royce’s like candy. Like at the mall I saw a brand new Lamborghini Hurucan STO pull up, and in real life it was actually not very impressive? It looked very small, kind of a fragile looking Chevrolet Corvette?
And also, even worse… In a tuk tuk with Seneca, and next to us was a black and chrome rolls Royce, with some rich mainland Chinese guy in the back seat, smoking a cigarette with his arms out of the window, and the front of the Rolls-Royce, the front grill and façade was cheaply spray painted black, mat black, and also one of the front toe hooks, the piece of plastic was broken and falling off. Wow, that visual made even a Rolls-Royce look cheap.
I think the new car could get is probably some sort of brand new high-end Hyundai Genesis, even my brother in law John Narciso, who designed all the cool black rhino rims, I asked him… What would be like the best car to own that is the most low-key and he said a high end Hyundai Genesis as I thought, because it is like the maximum of luxury and comfort, yet nobody has any idea what it is?
You cannot control the markets, but you could control your one rep max’s
Currently here in Phnom Penh, I’ve been going religiously to my favorite gym in the world, Monkifit. It’s probably the best gym I’ve been to on the planet.
Anyways, things are starting to get interesting… All-time highs, new one rep max PR’s, personal records.
First, I love the gym because to me, it is almost like my new zen dojo. Everyone who is there is my friend, and everyone is so kind gentle and wonderful. I love Khmer people forever!
What I actually love most about Khmer and Cambodian culture is that first of all, they are not jealous or envious people. They are loving kind, respectful, curious, and for the most part, everyone just kind of keeps to themselves, because that is the Khmer way.
I think one of the toxic things about American culture is that American culture is all about comparison and “becoming the best?â€
And this is where social media is really a fool’s errand, like Instagram or whatever because essentially they are synthetic numbers. Even worse TikTok, in which all the numbers are fakely inflated?
Consider, I think the way the TikTok algorithm works is that any time that your video is loaded even for a microsecond, it logs an impression. And I also think with TikTok, I have never used it, but they have wisely figure it out how to reduce interaction, so there’s just like a constant feeder videos? Whereas Facebook Instagram whatever, is almost too slow?

Maybe I’ll build some sort of new virtuous video feed machine, this is the idea:
Can you open up the app, and it is purely an aesthetic viewing experience.
It will start to autoplay a video on mute, and the way that you could unmute the video is by touching or tapping the screen.
Second, if you want to watch a new video, you swipe right. If you want to go back to the previous video, you swipe left. If you want to “retweet “the video… You swipe down. And if you want to comment on the video, you swipe up.
I think this will be the big thing, there will be no sort of financial incentive on the platform. Also, no likes, no follows, no followers, no metrics.
Maybe I might be the only one ambitious enough to try to take on Mark Zuckerberg. It seems at this point everyone is just deep throating mark, it is fine, but once again…, Just read what Mark Zuckerberg said when he was a college nerd, he’s just like another nerd who wants to sleep with all these hot girls, I’m even curious… Whether he has ever used a meta-quest pro in private to look at pretty girls.
Anyways, the best way to become unfazed by anything, is physical.
Consider fear anxiety whatever, these are only physiological hormonal responses. Like considered… You had like the most amazing Japanese beef Wagyu steak last night, like 5 pounds of it, and you slept for like 12 hours, and the night prior you just crushed a new personal record. You lifted over 1000 pounds.
Then, you start the day with a lovely cup of coffee, walking around the city, with all the happiest smiling people, and the sunshine, the nice ocean breeze.
But you see that today the market is down, does that really bother you? No!
476 kilogram rack pull
Another great innovation I’ve discovered while being here is the magic of the metric system. Numbers are just a little bit easier, and simpler.
For example, it is currently Michael to crush the record of Hafthor Bjjorsen, who I believe dead lifted 502 kg off the floor, which I think is like 1200 pounds.
My current new personal record for my infamous rack pull is 476 kg as of yesterday.
This is the big innovation I’ve discovered: the virtue of leverage:
Put on a dip belt, and then, using the chain or strong nylon strap attached to it, wrap it around the center of the barbell, in the rec center, so essentially, you are like fastening the weight to your hips and the center of your body.
Then, take two deadlifting straps, the simple deadlift ones with no padding, assume a double neutral grip, and just wrap it around the left and right side, chalk up, and when you pull the barbell off of the rack and pins, not only do you do it with your thighs, your hands, your shoulders your back your traps your quads your glutes, the big one… You do like 80% of the movement with your hips?
