The Current World of Photography

Currently speaking, I am very dismayed by the current world of photography. Nothing is really interesting. Even after perusing all the different cameras out there, they are all boring, not innovative.

What is the big issue here? It seems that all of these camera companies only work by analogy; what is drive to do is to take past designs and just iterate on them, rather than wiping the slate clean, and doing something totally brand new.

For example, why do modern day digital cameras still look like old film cameras?

Or better yet, let us consider car design. There is no really good reason why an electric car needs to look like an old gasoline car, considering there is no longer an engine either in the front or the back. This could allow some very interesting innovations. To design the front of an electric car simply as a “frunk“, seems boring.

Start New Memories

A problem I have been having with my Apple iCloud storage; I keep hitting the 2 TB limit. As a consequence, what I have been doing is going back to all the videos that I’ve shot and recorded and backed up to iCloud, to the Apple photos storage, the built-in one, and I just delete all of them.

For some reason, I think we have a fear of deleting our old photos, especially all of them in mass, with the fear that somehow we are “missing out“. However, maybe this carte blanche approach, a clean slate, is a good strategy to create new memories.

Similarly speaking, I might only check my email once every three or four months. And truth be told, when I went off the grid for almost 2 years in Vietnam, and didn’t check any messages, didn’t use email, didn’t check my email, I didn’t even have a phone or a phone plan, I only missed out on maybe one interesting opportunity, but even that opportunity ended up not being that interesting to me.

Therefore, when I do plan on using email, and I go back to my inbox, with my laptop, and the built-in Apple Mail app, I just select all the emails, and mass delete them, without looking at any of them. Similar speaking, whenever I go into my Gmail to clean it out, I will just select all, and just archive all. Blank slate.

Therefore, a simple thought; if you seek to create new memories, become you, advance yourself, evolve, perhaps deleting your past memories as a good idea.

Being stuck to the past is cowardly.

How to become 1000x better than others?

For example TESLA is probably 1000x better than any car or electric car company out there.

Also iPhone at least 1000x better than Android or any Samsung or other phone.

How do you know who your ideal target audience is, your target demographic? ERIC KIM entrepreneurship

Create for yourself.

Create the things, the structures, or the stuff you desire to see manifested in the real world.

For example, I am so insanely dissatisfied with everything, and I always am hungry to learn more, become more, etc. Therefore, my relentless quest is trying to figure out things which work well for me, and then later, sharing those findings with others.

Philosophy Workshops

Perhaps the future is philosophy, and also philosophy workshops. Why? It seems that the greatest absence we currently have in life right now, is the desire to find direction, meaning and purpose and motivation in our lives.

Superfluous Power

This is the critical factor onto great innovation.

Also maybe, great boredom?

The upside of boredom is that with boredom, it is one of the strongest motivators to change things up, and innovate.

Electric versus gas cars

The big downside of electric cars is range anxiety, and the inconvenience of trying to find a place to charge your car. However, at least the upside of electric cars is that in the long run, you need to concern yourself less with random things breaking in the engine, whether it be the pistons, changing the oil and transmission fluids, Anything to do with the transmission, which is a lot, as well as random pulleys, shafts and other assortments.

Therefore, perhaps getting a Tesla, in terms of longevity is actually superior. Nothing will really “break“, and you no longer require any mechanics.

Also, the big upside is that with people who know nothing about cars, always the fear of being ripped off by a mechanic, especially if you are a woman. At least with electric cars, the only issues will probably have to do with the longevity of the battery. Besides that, everything else will probably be fine.

Conversely, your biggest critics, are also your biggest fans?

Why Exercise?

Asking why exercise is like asking, “why live“?

In order to live, you must exercise. Or, maybe it is best to think that life itself is exercise.

Exercise means to “ward off”? To keep away. *Herk– to ward off, guard.
