Why is everyone at Gold’s Gym Venice so surprised to see me lift the legendary 330 pound golden dumbbells?

They are surprised to see a ‘skinny’ Asian guy lift such a heavy thing.

Certainly implicit in this is a low-key racism that somehow … Asian guys *cannot* be strong. Besides the fact of being like Bruce Lee … which is kind of more like a mystic-kung-fu style of strength, not ‘real’ strength like a Arnold S or Ronnie Coleman.

Why is everyone so surprised to see an insanely strong Asian-American guy?
