Why Joshua Tree?

Joshua Tree– after a fun trip to the mountains (lake arrowhead), I think I actually *prefer* the desert. Why? Something stark, harsh about the desert brings out focus, and zen in me.

The scale of the huuuuuge rocks (I love bouldering and climbing them), and the arid dry desert air.
