Autofocus is superior to manual focus. Why? Reasons:
- You are more likely to capture the decisive/significant moment. This is by far, our #1 priority in photography.
- In theory if you’re shooting street photography on a rangefinder camera, with a 28mm lens, at ISO 1600, at f/16, then technically the rangefinder is superior in terms of manual focusing. Because literally everything is in focus, and there is no delay with autofocus. However, can you fit your Leica M in your front pocket? No. RICOH GR III/IIIX, you can.
Therefore don’t get suckered by manual focusing; autofocus is better.
