Perhaps this is the proper task: to have the will to create. But the question is, why the will to create, and where does the will to create come from?
Why I wanted to have kids
Self augmentation. Having a kid is almost like cloning yourself. For myself, I have enough personal vanity and pride that I desire to see my DNA and genes propagate.
Therefore, one of the wills to creation is the desire to augment yourself. To take yourself, and to multiply yourself. To diversify yourself, and to spread yourself.
Because we delight in creation, we are also creators. It modern day times, this is just called “artist.”
What do we wish to create?
We desire to create art works, that is, anything which is external to us.
Also, I find my desired to create art is the means of creating a new form of communication. That is, words often do not suffice. This is where I like to create visual images, whether calligraphy, abstract images, or photos.
Creating as a means of individuation?
Individuation is the art or the approach and technique of making yourself an individual by creating something, or by creating ourselves, we make ourselves different. And we delight in being different.
