Ironically enough, the MORE devices you got, the LESS productive you will become.
Minimum viable devices
Funny enough, we think:
If I just had that one device or thing, or more of them … I will become *MORE* productive.
However on the contrary it seems the opposite is true. The *MORE* devices you got, the *MORE* distractions you got.
For example, I think the laptop is the minimum viable device. You can literally do everything with it. I don’t actually think you *NEED* a smartphone (even in today’s world) — it is a luxury and convenience thing. But you *NEED* a laptop. You don’t need an iPad, an Apple Watch, bluetooth headphones, etc. Even for music I find that playing music off your laptop speakers as the minimum viable audio device.
Lesson
Simple lesson:
If you strive to become more productive in life, seek to SUBTRACT more devices from your life.
