Are experiences worth it if you don’t remember them? Probably not.
Photography as a means of solidifying our experiences?
A simple thought: perhaps the reason why we should strive to make as artistic and beautiful photos as possible is that it will solidify our memories of certain experiences, certain places we’ve been, and certain things we’ve done.
For example, I just went on a trip to Joshua tree it was very memorable. But how will I continue to remember it in the years coming? Maybe it is looking back in my old photos, which will respark and reignite certain memories of our experiences. The photos I shot of us cooking pork belly on the fire pit, photos of our Airbnb, photos of our hikes, and photos of our little mini road trip.

What does it mean to have a photographic memory?
Perhaps the notion of a photographic memory is this: whenever I look at my old photos, I remember all the details around event. However without photos, I have difficulty remembering.
