YOU’RE THE ARTIST.

The great thing about art: you don’t need to justify your art or your aesthetic taste to anybody else. You merely assert it.

Thus don’t feel like you need to justify or explain your art or your aesthetic taste to anybody else. Just make it, and publish it.

Basic minds will not understand you or your artwork.

On one hand, I’m all for openness in democraticness, on the other hand, I do believe that there is some sort of hierarchy.

For example, most basic people cannot understand Piet Mondrian. But I think he’s one of the greatest geniuses in the history of modern art.
